About the role
Provides basic clinical and clerical support in the delivery of patient care within the Medical Assistant scope of education.
Maintains office equipment, orders supplies based on inventory, and ensures the Environment of Care is completed daily.
Responsibilities
- Rooming and vitals
- Phlebotomy
- EKG
- Schedule and check in/out patients
- Provide referrals, chart prep, and prior authorizations
- Maintain office equipment and order supplies
- Ensure the Environment of Care is completed daily
Requirements
- Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR an active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic or Medic Certification OR relevant experience
- Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- All required credentials to be maintained throughout employment
- One year of experience in direct patient care (acute or ambulatory space)
- Relevant experience or MA externship in a busy medical office preferred
- Phlebotomy skills
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
Qualifications
