About the role

A cardiology (MA, RN, or medical scribe) position is a dynamic role providing comprehensive care for cardiology patients. Ideal candidates are passionate, dedicated, and eager to learn daily.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and complex technical skills within the Medical Assistant scope of practice after demonstrating competency.
  • Develop rapport and maintain positive, professional relationships with a variety of patients, team members, and physicians.
  • Use excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Operate computers proficiently, including keyboarding, navigating within a Windows operating system, and using electronic mail and electronic medical records systems.
  • Provide customer service that supports a positive patient experience.
  • Assist with patient lifts and movement, ensuring safety and compliance with health and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices, and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • MA: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Degree: GED or HS equivalency diploma, or completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant, or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform routine and complex technical skills, within the Medical Assistant scope of practice after demonstrated competency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient computer skills including keyboarding, navigation within a Windows operating system, and use of electronic mail with exposure to electronic medical records systems.
  • Customer service skills that support a positive patient experience.
  • Physical requirements: sit, stand, walk, lift up to 35 pounds, and use patient handling equipment as needed.

Benefits

Compensation range for this position is $21.85- $32.80 for an MA or $24.10 - $36.15 for an LPN, based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and training.

Actual compensation offered in the Pay Range of $21.85- $32.80 for an MA or $24.10 - $36.15 for an LPN and will be based on factors such as qualifications, skills, relevant experience and/or training.
