Position: Medical Assistant (MA): Cancer Center
Location: Mason City, IA
Schedule: 32 hours per week, Day shift, M-F

Responsibilities

  • Supports the operation of the clinical practice by performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks.
  • Aids physicians and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care through patient preparation, vital sign collection, documentation, and basic clinical procedures.
  • Captures and maintains accurate medical records.
  • Coordinates patient flow to ensure a positive patient experience.

Requirements

  • Must have successfully completed accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • MA Certification/Registration preferred prior to hire and required within one year.
  • OR Must have successfully completed accredited LPN program.
  • LPN License in the state of Iowa.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
  • Basic computer skills including keyboarding and data entry.
