Medical Assistant (MA) - Kidney Specialists

About the Role

Assists practitioner in performance of procedures, telephone prescription orders/refills, maintaining patient records, and relaying test results.

Department

The Kidney Specialists teams at Samaritan Health Services focus on creating a partnership with patients, the primary care provider, and the kidney specialist. We provide consultation and treatment of chronic kidney disease at an outpatient clinic.

Responsibilities

• Assist practitioner in performance of procedures
• Handle telephone prescription orders and refills
• Maintain patient records
• Relay test results

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Registered or Certified Medical Assistant required
• Healthcare Provider BLS certification required
• Previous medical back office experience, medical assistant training, or completion of a Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant program preferred
• Experience in applicable specialty area preferred
• Lab/EKG experience preferred
