About the role
Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is seeking experienced Medical Assistants and medically trained candidates to join our local Resource Team!
Responsibilities
- Perform clinic administrative duties, including but not limited to, answering incoming telephone calls, obtaining and/or verifying patient information, patient check in/out, coordinate and facilitate accurate patient appointment
- Obtain patient medical history, vital signs, chart preparation, medication dosage and frequency, patient allergens, and assist with medical examinations
- Maintain accurate and strict confidentiality of patient information in electronic and/or manual systems as established by the appropriate protocols, regulations, and policies
- Prepare examination room, ensure proper equipment is present and room is adequately stocked
- Document all aspects of the patient encounter on an electronic medical record system
Requirements
- Must be able to recognize and identify patient's symptoms and use appropriate professional judgment in course of action
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel to and work at all four (4) BMC sites, as assigned
- Must be available by phone to accept assignment changes as needed
Qualifications
- Completion of Medical Assistant education. Certification is not required but preferred
- Other completed medical training, education, and proof of active certification is an acceptable substitution of Medical Assistant specific credentials (Examples include but are not limited to: EMT, Surgical Tech, CNA, etc.)
- Military medical training and education with supporting documentation is an acceptable substitution of Medical Assistant specific credentials
- College graduates with a completed four (4) year bachelor's degree is an acceptable substitution of Medical Assistant specific credentials. College transcripts must reflect completed health science course work. Please submit a copy of your unofficial college transcripts at the time of applying

Pay
The starting hourly pay range for this position is commensurate with experience: $18.91 - $25.21/Hour (Full pay range is $18.91 - $28.36)
Schedule
This position is based at our Broadway clinic, 2750 Broadway St., Boulder, CO 80304, and travel within Boulder County-to our Arapahoe location Boulder, Louisville, Longmont, or Erie locations-may be required, depending on the provider or clinic being covered.
