Medical Assistant (Full Time/4 Days) - Family Medicine (Boulder, CO)

About the role

Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is seeking Medical Assistants and/or medically trained candidates to join our Family Medicine team. This role supports Dr. Nordstrom Lane and works at two different locations: Foothills and Broadway.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinic administrative duties, including answering phone calls, obtaining and verifying patient information, patient check-in/check-out, and coordinating appointments.
• Obtain patient medical history, vital signs, prepare charts, manage medications, and assist with medical examinations.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure proper equipment is present.
• Document patient encounters on an electronic medical record system.

Requirements

• Good history-taking skills, strong computer skills, accurate and complete documentation, good time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to relate well and communicate with patients, providers, and staff.
• Self-direction in establishing priorities and working with little supervision.

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant education (certification not required but preferred).
• Other completed medical training and proof of active certification with 1+ years of recent field experience (examples include EMT, Surgical Tech, CNA, etc.).
• Military medical training and education with supporting documentation.
• College graduates with a completed four-year bachelor's degree.

Pay

The starting hourly pay range for this position is commensurate with experience: $18.91 - $25.21/hour (full pay range is $18.91 - $28.36).

Schedule

This position will be posted for a minimum of three (3) days or until filled. The schedule is 32-40 hours per week, with work at two different locations: Foothills and Broadway.
