Medical Assistant (MA) - Clinic
Job Summary
The medical assistant performs a variety of patient care activities and assists the provider and nursing staff to maintain the highest standard practice of care. They are responsible for restocking of supplies in the work area and maintaining a safe working environment.
About the Role
Type: Full Time (80 hours per 2 week pay period, with benefits)
Typical hours for this position: Monday-Friday, day shift
Responsibilities
- Restock supplies in the work area
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Assist the provider and nursing staff in patient care activities
- Take vital signs
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and public
- Communicate clearly and understand detailed oral and written instructions
- Perform diagnostic testing/procedures such as x-rays and non-waived testing
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) preferred
- BLS Certification
- Skill in taking vital signs
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to communicate clearly and understand detailed oral and written instructions
- Basic Computer Skills
- Ability to learn and perform diagnostic testing/procedures such as x-rays and non-waived testing
