Medical Assistant MA Certified or Non for Occupational Health
Job Overview
This position assists the physician in examination and treatment of patients, performing miscellaneous delegated duties under the direction of the physician. This position also interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts, and prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Takes vital signs and performs vision, urinalysis, glucose finger sticks as needed. Additional training provided to administer health screens: EKGs, audiometric, Pulmonary Function Tests (PFT), respirator FIT tests, drug screens and breath alcohol testing. Perform venipuncture and administer injections (like TB, under MD supervision). Provide outstanding customer service by communicating with clients and patients to resolve concerns and requests.

- Exhibits dependability in areas such as attendance, punctuality and the timely performance of duties.
- Demonstrates proficiency in assisting with medical procedures on adults and children.
- Maintains the safety and cleanliness of the treatment area.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of clean and sterile procedures in the use of medical equipment.
Job Requirements
- Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program.
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), through AMT, NCCT, or NHA, or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by AAMA.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- WILL CONSIDER Non-certified if MA work experienced - at appropriate pay level.
- EKG, Injections, Venipuncture knowledge/experience.
- Knowledge of common lab tests according to established CLIA guidelines and TriHealth policy.
