How You'll Contribute
- Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
- Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
- Documents patient care given.
- Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Maintains examination areas.
- Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

Requirements
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- High School diploma
- CCMA, CMA or RMA Preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) obtain within 60 days of hire

North Alabama Shoals Hospital is a 198-bed general acute care facility that boasts spacious, private rooms for all patients, a 24-hour emergency department, medical and oncology services; medical/surgical inpatient units; and intensive care and short-stay surgery units. Shoals also operates the region's only in-patient acute rehabilitation facility, the J. W. Sommer Rehabilitation Unit, and the Shoals Senior Care Center, the Shoals' only psychiatric unit dedicated to our senior adults. North Alabama Shoals Hospital is Joint Commission accredited, is a Blue Cross/Blue Shield Tier 2 Hospital, and has received a Blue Distinguished award in hip and knee replacements.
