About the role
Under the delegation of a licensed practitioner, the MA II assists in providing patient care to assigned patients. The MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs and functions for the assigned clinic or location. Work is performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands-on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants, or
- Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or
- Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces, or
- Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
- Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire
- National Provider BLS – American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
- Six months of healthcare experience
- Six months of medical assistant experience
