Medical Assistant (MA)
About the role
One Community Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Hood River, Oregon Clinic Team. This multifaceted role involves a variety of clinical and operational duties to support our mission of providing exceptional patient care. The Medical Assistant performs clinic operational tasks, serves as a communication liaison between patients, medical providers, and licensed nurses, and supports quality control, performance improvement, and patient records management.
Responsibilities
- Patient intake and processing
- Assisting providers with treatments and procedures
- Providing patient instruction and education
- Conducting quality control checks and performance improvement activities
- Stocking supplies and sterilizing equipment
- Managing patient records
- Scheduling patient appointments
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant (MA) program
- Current Medical Assistant (CMA) Certification
- High School Diploma or GED
Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Records preferred
Schedule
Full-time (40 hours per week) and part-time (30 hours per week) positions available at our clinic located in Hood River, Oregon.

Pay
Hourly/Non-Exempt: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Additionally, we offer $0.75 per hour as compensation for bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish. Mileage reimbursement in accordance with OCH policy.
