Medical Assistant (MA)

Position Summary

Aid and support the clinical care team members in delivering patient care according to the Medical Assistant scope of practice. Perform clinical procedures under provider supervision. Follow established patient care processes. Maintain organized systems for timely patient flow, stocked rooms, and instrument maintenance. Ensure availability of all required reports and information in the Electronic Health Record. Document patient interactions and care plans accurately and promptly.

Responsibilities

• Follow standard work for patient care processes
• Maintain effective and organized systems for patient flow and room stocking
• Ensure availability of all required reports and information in the Electronic Health Record
• Document patient interactions and care plans accurately and promptly
• Implement orders and teaching plan components as directed
• Participate in processes that improve the standard of care
• Perform additional or miscellaneous duties as requested

Requirements

• Prior clinical experience in ambulatory care pediatric environment
• High School graduate or equivalent
• Certificate from a Medical Assistant Program
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification
