About the role

Jax Spine is seeking Medical Assistants to support their back office operations. The ideal candidate will provide excellent care to patients, maintain continuity of care through accurate documentation, and collaborate effectively with all departments.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain all aspects of the clinic environment.
  • Prepare for patient interactions in the clinical setting.
  • Measure and record vital signs, manually and electronically.
  • Communicate with internal and external resources to procure necessary supplies and information.
  • Collaborate with other internal departments and personnel to ensure a seamless patient experience.
  • Provide direct patient care as assigned.
  • Maintain effective continuity of care through accurate documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Perform other logically associated duties enhancing the position.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • One or more years of experience as a medical assistant, CMA preferred.
  • In lieu of experience, graduating from an accredited MA program is acceptable.
  • Procedure Room Tech experience preferred.
  • Able to measure and record vital signs, manually and electronically.
  • Pain management office experience is a plus.
  • Basic computer knowledge is required.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Able to multi-task efficiently and effectively in busy and/or stressful situations.
  • Able to read, analyze, interpret, and write medical records and documentation.
  • Able to record patient information, including a working knowledge of medical terminology.

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or GED required.
