About the role
The Medical Assistant will manage patient flow and assist providers in managing and treating patients. Responsibilities include collaborating with the health care team, performing delegated tasks, and maintaining a safe and efficient clinic environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient flow and assist providers in patient care
- Perform delegated tasks as directed by the supervising nurse and provider
- Communicate effectively with the health care team regarding patient progress, concerns, and issues
- Collaborate with the Clinic Supervisor, Manager, and Providers to meet defined goals
- Participate in unit-based skills lists outlining specific expectations and competency assessments
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant program accredited by a recognized accrediting organization
- Previous Medical Assistant experience within the North Memorial Health system preferred
- Current BLS Certification
- Registered Medical Assistant certification required if RMA program attended
Qualifications
- Knowledge of computer software applications
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
