Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients, prepares them for appointments, and documents vital signs
• Populates electronic medical records with accurate information
• Assists providers during exams and treatments
• Maintains exam rooms and supplies
• Cleans treatment rooms and ensures a safe environment
• Communicates effectively with patients, colleagues, and vendors
• Maintains logs and performs required checks
• Handles voicemail and email communications
• Supports the front office as needed
• Adheres to HIPAA guidelines

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Graduate of an accredited healthcare program or equivalent work experience
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to maintain certifications according to state guidelines
• Strong computer skills, especially with EMR systems

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in family or pediatrics
• Experience with Athenahealth practice management system
