Medical Assistant Lead-Pediatrics-Baseline (11am-8pm)

About the Role

This position is responsible for the management and delegation of all medical assistant (MA) responsibilities, ensuring efficient patient flow and patient satisfaction. The MA Lead oversees that all MA tasks are performed effectively and within Mountain Park's guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Keeps staff informed through verbal and written communications of new or updated standards, systems, procedures, forms, and manuals via staff meetings and other channels.
• Suggests alternative methods and procedures to solve problems.
• Assists with holding team members accountable for their performance.
• Collaborates within teams to provide comprehensive, patient-centered, and mission-focused training for staff.
• Works as an extension of their manager, addressing issues or barriers in real time and providing feedback about them.
• Oversees and manages the clinical workflow, ensuring timely completion of all MA tasks.
• Performs or delegates checking and documentation of emergency equipment.
• Ensures compliance with all Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) waived testing requirements.
• Helps oversee compliance for instrument processing and storage.
• Identifies new equipment needs, requests them from the supervisor, and follows processes related to equipment repair.
• Prepares staff schedules to provide adequate coverage, including contingency planning for staff absence.
• Delegates assignments and communicates staffing concerns to the supervisor.
• Oversees ordering of clinical supplies and medications, maintaining par-levels.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• MA Certification.
• 2 years of Medical Assistant experience.
• 1 year of experience in a leadership role.
• Current CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Electronic Health Record experience.
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English or Somali/English).
