About the role

The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive patient experience and efficient clinic operations. They are responsible for welcoming patients, documenting vitals and medical histories, performing various procedures, and supporting the clinic's overall workflow.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients warmly and create a great first impression
• Register patients, support insurance verification, answer phones, schedule visits, and collect payments
• Document accurately within the EMR and support providers during visits
• Perform blood draws, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection as permitted
• Keep documentation accurate and organized within the EMR
• Support teammates during busy shifts
• Help keep the clinic clean, smooth, and efficient

Requirements

• Prior clinical experience with 1-2+ years in an outpatient setting
• A friendly, polished, and professional presence
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Flexibility to support varying clinic schedules and nearby locations based on business needs
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Coachable and eager to grow

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR certification
• Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR)
