Medical Assistant - Lakemoor Family Physicians

About the role

University Physicians' Association, Inc. is seeking a full‑time Medical Assistant (MA) to work at Lakemoor Family Physicians, located between the UT Medical Center and Topside Road. The MA will support two physicians in a fast‑paced office, ensuring patients are the top priority and delivering a seamless patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with direct patient care.
• Handle scheduling and coordinate appointments.
• Obtain prior authorizations and pre‑certifications for MRIs and CT scans.
• Communicate test results to patients and providers.
• Perform phlebotomy and related clinical tasks.
• Provide instructions and write orders as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with physicians, patients, and families while presenting a positive image of the practice.
• Perform various other tasks to support clinic operations.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant Certification or LPN license.
• Prior medical experience (required).
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Effective time‑management and organizational abilities.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm (full‑time).
