About the role

Join our team as a day shift, full-time Medical Assistant at INTEGRIS HEALTH Medical Group Lake Pointe Primary Care Outpatient Clinic in Oklahoma City, OK.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals, patient history, venipuncture, lab, x-ray, referrals, and patient phone messages as directed by the provider and/or clinical supervisor
• Gather and document information about patient condition, including lab values, pain levels, patient education needs, nutritional status and potential complications
• Contribute to the assessment/re-assessment of patients
• Monitor and document patient status
• Participate in the development of the plan of care, including implementation and evaluation of appropriate patient care interventions (exclusive of narcotics)
• Manage large call volume while maintaining excellent telephone etiquette
• Organize workflow to meet patient needs in a timely manner
• Retrieve and transport medications
• Report to assigned director, manager, supervisor or lead

Qualifications

• Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification/registration; OR 6 months of clinic MA experience AND 6 months of customer service experience preferred
• CPR or BLS certification within 90 days of employment
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written)
