Medical Assistant / Lab Technologist Location: Lenexa, KS (Occasional coverage in Kansas City, MO) Job Type: Full-Time, Onsite Setting: Occupational Health / Urgent Care Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Key Responsibilities Perform digital X-rays, as permitted by training and licensure.Assist with laboratory testing, specimen collection, processing, and documentation.Conduct urine, hair, and blood drug screening collections.Prepare examination rooms and assist providers with patient procedures.Document test results and maintain accurate patient records in the EHR system.Follow OSHA, CLIA, infection-control, and radiation safety procedures.Maintain clinical, laboratory, and imaging supplies.Support front-office and back-office operations, including patient interactions and administrative tasks.Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure efficient daily operations.Provide occasional coverage at the Kansas City, Missouri, clinic as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.Completion of a Medical Assistant degree or certification program; candidates completing externship hours may also be considered.At least one year of clinical laboratory experience.Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn EHR software.Ability to follow safety, infection-control, and patient confidentiality procedures.Willingness to learn laboratory procedures, perform drug screenings, and cross-train across clinical and administrative duties.Willingness to occasionally travel to the Kansas City, Missouri, clinic. Preferred Qualifications Three or more years of experience as a Medical Assistant, Lab Technician, or X-ray Technologist.Current full or limited X-ray license, such as ARRT or LRT.Phlebotomy, specimen collection, or laboratory testing experience.Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and radiation safety standards.Occupational health, urgent care, or similar clinical experience.Familiarity with medical terminology and EHR systems.Bilingual English/Spanish skills. Schedule Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.Approximately 40 hours per week.No routine weekend or holiday hours.Primary location: Lenexa, Kansas.Occasional coverage at the Kansas City, Missouri, clinic.Cross-training across clinical, laboratory, and front-office responsibilities is expected.
