Lab Tech/Medical Assistant

We are seeking a Lab Technician/MA with a passion for service excellence to join our Family Medicine Clinic in the Mesquite area. This position performs specimen collection, CLIA-waived laboratory testing, patient intake, clinical procedures, and administrative support while ensuring compliance along the lines of organizational standards.
Here's a Sneak Peek At What You'll Do
- Perform patient intake by obtaining vital signs, height, weight, medical history, allergies, medications, and chief complaints.
- Collect laboratory specimens through venipuncture, capillary blood draws, urine, throat, and other specimen collection methods following established laboratory protocols.
- Administer medications, immunizations, and injections as delegated and permitted by state regulations and organizational policies.
- Eliminate biological waste properly and safely.
- Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, process prior authorizations, and assist with patient follow-up as directed.
- Educate patients regarding specimen collection, laboratory testing, medications, preventive care, and follow-up instructions under provider direction.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, laboratory personnel, and other healthcare team members to support coordinated patient care.
- Aid in our mission to provide access to quality health care.
- Work with a diverse patient population in the heart of Dallas.

What You Need to Succeed
- Pleasant and professional demeanor.
- Self-starter ability.
- Strong communication skills.
- Confidentiality preservation.
- High school Diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years' Phlebotomy experience in a patient care environment.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency.
- Experience in community health centers and/or non-profits.
- Experience serving multicultural and multilingual patient populations.
- Experience with eClinicalWorks or similar and MS Office Suite skills.
- Have a servant heart with the desire to make a positive impact.
- Bilingual in Spanish, Burmese, Pashto, Rohingya (plus).
