Medical Assistant/Lab Technician

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant/Lab Technician is a vital role to the pain clinic. We are seeking a motivated medical assistant to oversee our lab operations. This position will involve urine and oral swab collection. This position will involve heavy patient interaction.

Clinical Duties

• Urine Collection
• Oral Swabs
• Packaging and Shipping samples
• Distribution of results
• Supply ordering
• Affiliate other team members as needed
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Education and Experience

• High school diploma
• Minimum of 1-year medical assisting experience

Required Skills/Abilities

• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with staff, physicians, and external customers
• Strong ability to multitask and move from one project to another as needed
• Works to resolve problems or determines an appropriate course of action in a timely manner
• Strong time management, follow-through, and organizational skills

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

Work performed in an office environment. Involves frequent contact with physicians, leadership, and medical office staff. Physical activity can be fast-paced
