About the role
The Kaua'i Medical Clinic is the largest multispecialty medical group on the island, offering primary and specialty care at multiple locations. The Kapa'a Clinic specializes in family practice and internal medicine.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of patient care activities for clients of all ages.
- Work closely with physicians and medical staff to provide comprehensive health services and support.
- Ensure patient care is delivered with attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Act as a patient advocate, coordinating with other healthcare professionals and resources as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent work experience.
- Certified or registered Medical Assistant from a recognized organization.
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.
- Ability to pass departmental competency assessment within the first month of employment.

- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
