Medical Assistant - Kahala, Visiting Specialist

About the role

The Visiting Specialist department at Straub Medical Center in Honolulu, HI is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team. This position provides compassionate health services to patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of patient care activities at Straub Mililani.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during visits.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
• Follow hospital policies and procedures to maintain a safe and clean environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program and/or equivalent experience.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with AAMA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, NHA, AMCA, or ARMA.
• Current BLS CPR card.
• Six (6) months medical assistant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of CPT and/or ICD-10 Coding preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
