What You'll Do
- Welcome and prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and documenting detailed medical histories
- Auxiliary providers during dermatologic procedures and examinations, ensuring efficient and high-quality patient care
- Perform basic laboratory testing and collect specimens for analysis as needed
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations and practice standards
- Congest patient scheduling and support seamless communication between patients, providers, and staff
- Inform patients on treatment plans, medication instructions, and skincare recommendations to promote positive outcomes
- Ensure exam rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary medical supplies and equipment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or similar clinical role is advantageous
- Understanding of medical terminology related to dermatology
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written for effective patient interactions
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a medical setting
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software is beneficial
