About the role

Toledo Clinic's Internal Medicine Office at 3401 Glendale Ave, Toledo, OH is seeking a full‑time Credentialed Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA or ability to obtain credential within 60 days of hire) to provide clinical and administrative support.

Schedule

Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 9:00 AM‑5:30 PM; Wednesday 9:00 AM‑2:30 PM.

Benefits

• $2,000 Sign‑On Bonus for qualified Medical Assistants (payable within 30 days of hire if credentials are active and verified; otherwise payable once credential is obtained and verified).
• After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants may be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.

Responsibilities

• Answering phones courteously and professionally.
• Scheduling appointments, lab tests, surgeries, etc.
• Verifying referrals and/or pre‑certifications.
• Updating insurance information.
• Answering general patient questions.
• Taking messages accurately and relaying to appropriate personnel.
• Collecting co‑pays.
• Preparing and/or submitting charge tickets.
• Preparing and cleaning exam rooms.
• Sorting, filing and scanning patient charts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Credentialed Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA) or ability to obtain credential within 60 days of hire.

• Excellent communication, phone, and organizational skills.
• Computer skills helpful.
• Consistent attendance, professional attire, punctuality, and ability to complete tasks within established time frames.
• Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co‑workers as needed.
• Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous clerical experience in a medical office.
• Medical‑related coursework.
