Medical Assistant Instructor- Bloomington, IN

About the Role

Zollege is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant Instructor to join the Bloomington Medical Assistant School team. In this role, you’ll inspire future healthcare professionals by combining your medical expertise with mentorship and hands-on education. Classes are primarily held on Saturdays between 7:00am - 6:15pm, with potential variations based on location and class availability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for each class by reviewing the provided curriculum, which may include lab stations.
• Demonstrate medical skills/procedures and assist students during hands-on practice in the lab.
• Evaluate individual/group performance and adjust teaching methods to meet student learning needs.
• Maintain classroom management and ensure adherence to safety precautions.
• Deliver curriculum and essential skills through lectures and hands-on demonstrations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of experience as a medical assistant or in a related field.
• CMA, RMA, or CCMA credentials.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Basic computer skills (emailing, printing, scanning, troubleshooting, connecting to WiFi, etc.).
• Passion for helping others achieve their personal goals.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to commute to location(s).

Qualifications

• BC/BE certification (Preferred).
• CPR Certification (Preferred).

Pay

$24.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Part-time, In-Person. Classes primarily on Saturdays between 7:00am - 6:15pm, with potential variations based on location and class availability.
