Medical Assistant II - Urgent Care

Qualifications

• MA II certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a healthcare setting
• Must be proficient in: EKGs, drawing up and administering injections, patient rooming, obtaining vital signs, point-of-care testing (POC)

Requirements

• Self-scheduling available (30-minute scheduling increments)
• Holiday rotation with team

Skills

• AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare workers certification required
• Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and ADA required
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding required
• TB validated (to administer or read) or validation obtained within 6 months of hire preferred
• Knowledge of Business Unit Quality Programs, Meaningful Use and Standard Work Programs and concepts within 6 months of hire
• Knowledge of standard laboratory and medical procedures
• Knowledge of insurance plans and third-party payers
• Basic math and accurate data collection and entry skills

Schedule

Full-time 36 hours per week, Three 12-hour shifts per week, Schedule: 7:45 AM - 8:15 PM Every third weekend, Holiday rotation with team, Self-scheduling available (30-minute scheduling increments)
