The Medical Assistant II (Primary Care, Vero Beach) position is a full-time role within the Primary Care team at Nemours in Vero Beach, Florida.
Responsibilities
- Aid in clinical data collection and review for patient intake
- Ensure appropriate information is available to the provider
- Enter pertinent history in the medical record
- Perform and assist with clinical procedures as directed by the provider and per protocol
Requirements
- 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Demonstrated proficiency in clinical and administrative tasks
- MA Certification required (see below)
- Acceptable certifications are Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) and Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
- American Heart Association BLS Certification within 90 days of hire date
- Ability to mentor and train new Medical Assistants
- Travel to other locations is required
