About the role

Baptist Health is Jacksonville's only locally governed, faith-based, not-for-profit health system providing a full spectrum of preventive and specialty care through 200+ locations and six hospitals. Centers of excellence include Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, Baptist Heart Hospital, Baptist Neurological Institute, and Wolfson Children's Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing assistance to physicians
• Obtains vital signs
• Greets and chaperones patients during medical visits
• Telephone triage
• Patient education
• Maintains medical documentation
• Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
• Processes CLIA waived tests, prescription requests and referrals
• Cross trains in front office, referrals and other areas (E.G. FP and Peds)

Requirements

• Over 5 years patient care experience
• Experience in physician's office
• High school diploma/GED required
• Associate's degree preferred
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
