Medical Assistant II/LPN-Primary Care

Responsibilities

• Supports patient care by performing both clinical and administrative tasks.
• Aids healthcare providers with patient intake, routine procedures, and documentation.
• Maintains a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for patients.
• Performs other duties as assigned, aligned with Kettering Health’s mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program from an accredited institution or equivalent experience as allowed by state law.
• Typically two (2) years of experience as a medical assistant or in a similar clinical support role.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant through an accredited professional organization (e.g., AAMA, AMT, ARMA, NCCT, NHA, NAHP, AMCA) or equivalent credential as recognized by Kettering Health.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a multi-provider outpatient or ambulatory care setting.
