Essential Functions
- Prepare patient for examination and assist provider with exam and procedure as needed
- Conduct patient intake and discharge according to policy and procedure
- Collect all forms accompanying patient and verify patient demographics and prep chart accurately
- Take age appropriate vital signs
- Obtain and process specimens for transport to the lab
- Absorb complex dressing changes and perform simple wound care and dressing changes
- Administer injections and nebulizer treatments as ordered
- Administer peak flow meter test for respiratory assessment
- Clean and decontaminate re-usable equipment for autoclave sterilization and set up the exam rooms
- Absorb all other duties as assigned
Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistant
- Current CPR Certification
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience working in a Community Health Center/or Physician Office setting, preferred
Additional Information
- Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
