Medical Assistant I, Mobile Health Van in Wilmington

About the role

The Mobile Van Program provides comprehensive primary care and substance use disorder (SUD) services within underserved communities throughout Wilmington, Delaware. This program is structured to overcome barriers such as transportation limitations, insurance coverage, and geographic inaccessibility by delivering care directly to individuals where they reside and gather.

Responsibilities

• Greet and support patients virtually and in person
• Prepare patients for visits
• Perform basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs)
• Absorb and assist with exams
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment
• Manage EMR updates
• Communicate with patients
• Handle referrals, authorizations, and scheduling
• Handle clerical duties
• Support troubleshooting video visits
• Support patient portal access

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED required
• A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)

Pay

Hourly Pay Range: $19.10 - $27.69

Schedule

Monday through Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

No weekends or holidays
