Medical Assistant I

Job Summary

This position performs a variety of patient care and administrative duties to ensure the efficient operations of the clinic.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Interim Certification required.
• Medical Assistant Interim Certification must be updated to a Medical Assistant Certification prior to expiration of Medical Assistant Interim Certification.

Experience

• One year in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience with using electronic health record (EHR) preferred;
• Bilingual English and Asian or Spanish language preferred.

Other Requirements

• Active Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Interim Certification from Washington State DOH required.
• Medical Assistant Interim Certification must be updated to a Medical Assistant Certification prior to expiration of Medical Assistant Interim Certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
