About the role

The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive patient experience and efficient clinic operations. This role requires a warm welcome, accurate documentation, and a supportive team dynamic.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere
  • Register patients, perform vitals, obtain medical history, and document accurately in the EMR
  • Support providers during patient visits
  • Perform blood draws, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection as permitted
  • Register patients, handle insurance verification, schedule appointments, and collect payments
  • Ensure documentation is accurate and organized within the EMR
  • Support teammates during busy shifts
  • Help maintain a clean, efficient, and positive clinic environment

Requirements

  • Prior clinical experience with 1-2+ years in an outpatient setting
  • A friendly, polished, and professional demeanor
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Flexibility to support various clinic schedules and locations
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Willingness to be coached and grow professionally

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current CPR certification
  • Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR)

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
