Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency, individually and as part of the multidisciplinary team, in performing clinical care and assessment of all patient populations.
• Assists with direct patient care, demonstrating maturity and discretion in dealing with terminally ill patients.
• Provides clinical support to patients and staff.
• Provides office support, including typing, scheduling, and processing forms.
• Monitors clinical equipment and supplies.
• Protects and preserves patient rights to confidentiality.
• Performs other job-related duties as requested by supervisor.

Requirements

• Must have completed certification as a Medical Assistant.
• CPR Certification required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, computer competency, and transcription skills.
• Strong typing skills and organizational abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated maturity to work with terminally ill patients.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Flexibility in hours, including possible weekends and evenings.
