Responsibilities
- Perform a wide variety of patient care activities
- Provide thorough health services to patients and their families
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient care activities
- Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare providers
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant Program and/or equivalent experience
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), ABR-OE, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CMAC, CCMA, or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologist (AMT), National Center for Competency testing (NCCT), American Registry of Medical Assistants, National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), or American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Card
- Able to complete departmental competency assessment by conclusion of orientation period
Qualifications
- Detail-oriented and attentive
- Strong communications and patient care skills
- Committed to delivering high-quality health care
Skills
- Knowledge of Classification Procedural Terminology (CPT) and/or International Classification of Disease (ICD-10) Coding
- Experience with electronic medical records

Rate of pay for selected candidates will be determined by various factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant experience and training, as well as internal peer equity.
