This position is advertised from the minimum to the mid-point hourly rate. Salary will be determined based on education and experience at the time of offer.
About the Role
Under general supervision, performs work of routine difficulty assisting with public health services in the field and/or in the office.
Responsibilities
- Administer immunizations and process and update records
- Prepare patient for examination, procedures, and treatments
- Measure and record vital signs or health status of client/patient
- Perform various laboratory and measurement procedures
- Prepare and maintain examination and treatment areas
- Assist Public Health Nurse with home visits and/or educational programs in the community
- Schedule appointments and referrals
- Answer, screen, and route phone calls
- Type records and reports
- Enter data into computer
- Maintain program files and confidential health records
- Assemble, copy, and organize educational material
- Participate in disease detection and surveillance systems and investigations related to communicable disease
- Interview patients to obtain epidemiological information and determine contacts
- Maintain inventory of educational and laboratory materials and supplies
- Regular and reliable attendance is required
- Perform other duties as assigned
