About the role
The Medical Assistant II (MA II) supports patient care under a licensed practitioner's delegation, performing all duties of an MA I and demonstrating full clinical competency for assigned clinics or locations. They adhere to established policies, procedures, and regulations, ensuring quality care.
Responsibilities
- Assist in providing patient care and performing clinical tasks such as obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
- Work collaboratively within the healthcare team to support patient needs and clinic operations.
- Follow established protocols and regulatory standards to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
- Maintain certifications and stay current with healthcare requirements.
- Contribute to a culture of patient-focused, whole-person care built on understanding, commitment, and mutual respect.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program, registered medical assistant apprenticeship, or military medical training, or have at least one year of relevant work experience.
- Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
- CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
- Minimum of 6 months healthcare and medical assistant experience.
- Preferred: National Medical Assistant Certification.
