Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for visits.
- Record patient medical history, vital signs, and chief complaints accurately.
- Aid healthcare providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Administer medications as directed and ensure proper documentation.
- Provide education on medications, treatments, and follow-up care to patients.
Medical Record Management
- Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately and confidentially.
- Prepare medical charts for patient visits and ensure completeness.
Clinical Support
- Contact patients with testing results under the direction of the provider.
- Obtain prior authorization of medications and procedures if needed.
Patient Communication
- Offer exceptional customer service and create a comfortable environment for patients.
- Answer patient questions, address concerns, and relay messages to healthcare providers.
Compliance and Safety
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations and privacy laws (HIPAA).
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Absorb and implement infection control measures.
- Dispose of biohazardous waste properly.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Two years of experience as a Medical Assistant or EMT (preferred).
- One year of experience with EMR systems (preferred).
- Two years of experience demonstrating compassionate and dedicated patient care (preferred).
- A Certified Medical Assistant certification (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Pay Range
$22-$25 per hour; commensurate with experience
Schedule
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
