Medical Assistant - Gastroenterology

About the role

The Medical Assistant position at Kapi'olani Medical Specialists (KMS) is part of a dedicated team providing comprehensive care to patients and their families in the Gastroenterology department at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of patient care activities for clients of all ages.
• Provide thorough health services to patients and their families.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient care activities.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program and/or equivalent experience.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), ABR-OE from AAMA, RMA from AMT, NCMA from NCCT, RMA from ARMA, NRCMA from NAHP, CMAC from AMCA, CCMA from NHA.
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Card.
• Able to complete departmental competency assessment by conclusion of orientation period.

Pay

Pay Range: $28.26 - $29.75 USD per hour.
