Medical Assistant - Full-Time - Rural Health Clinic

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible clinical position responsible for delivering direct patient care and performing administrative tasks. The Medical Assistant collaborates with the healthcare team to support a patient-centered culture and enhance the quality of services provided at WMRMC Clinic.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical duties to support direct patient care under the supervision of the Clinic Manager and clinic providers.
• Exercise independent judgment in applying professional knowledge to anticipate and meet the needs of patients, visitors, and providers within the scope of back-office responsibilities.
• Contribute to a safe and efficient clinic environment; position is safety-sensitive and subject to WMRMC’s Drug & Alcohol Policy.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic environment.
• General knowledge of the healthcare field and medical terminology.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
