About the Role

We are seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant for our West Orange office. The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing high-quality medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a dermatology setting. Open flexibility to support team coverage is required.

Schedule

Full time, 30+ hours per week. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7 AM–7 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care for patients and providers
  • Assist physicians in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures
  • Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorizations, and procedures within established guidelines
  • Understand provider-to-patient flow and anticipate the provider’s next steps
  • Prepare rooms before and after patient visits, including checking equipment at the start of each shift
  • Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed
  • Scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies daily; alert Head MA and/or GM of low inventory
  • Perform inventory responsibilities and stock supplies and equipment as requested
  • Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities

Requirements

  • Dermatology experience required
  • Healthcare experience required
  • Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred
  • Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Excellent patient relations and customer service skills
  • Open availability to work weekdays and weekends

Pay

Hourly pay range: $19–$24
