About the Role

Full-Time Medical Assistant at our Goshen and Monticello offices. The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing high-quality medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a medical setting. Previous healthcare experience is required.

Schedule

Full time, 30+ hours. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7:00am – 7:30pm. Open flexibility to help cover in a team environment is needed.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and providers
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures
• Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorizations, and procedures within established guidelines
• Understand provider-to-patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps
• Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure proper working order
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed
• Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies; alert Head MA and/or GM of any low-level supplies
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested
• Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities

Requirements

• Dermatology experience preferred
• Healthcare experience required
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Excellent patient relation and customer service skills
• Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends

Pay

Hourly pay range: $18–22
