Responsibilities
- Escorts patients to exam room and prepared for MD or APRN
- Verifies patient information by interviewing the patient, recording medical history, review of medications, screening tools; confirming purpose of the visit and enters into medical record
- Accurately obtains and records vital signs
- Performs office procedures including but not limited to CLIA waived point of care testing, EKG, phlebotomy, and spirometry as ordered by a medical provider
- Maintains effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow in accordance with agency standards
- Ensures lab results are reviewed and signed by provider and disseminated as needed
- May conduct client education groups and training as directed by provider and/or supervisor
