About the role
Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, providing clinical support in a multi-specialty group practice.
Responsibilities
- Facilitating patient flow and greeting patients in exam rooms
- Measuring vital signs and preparing patients for examinations
- Assisting clinicians with routine procedures and tests
- Updating and maintaining accurate electronic medical records (EMR)
- Reconciling medications and managing prescriptions
- Performing point-of-care waived testing (e.g., strep, urine, glucose)
- Providing patient education and addressing minor concerns
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, or Medical Assistant Certification
- Preferred: Medical assistant program graduate, BLS certification, 1+ years' clinical or customer service experience, EMR proficiency, knowledge of testing procedures
