Medical Assistant - Full Time

About the role

Blue Cloud is a leading pediatric Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) company, focusing on dental restorative and exodontia surgery for children and special needs patients under general anesthesia. We aim to provide safe, high-quality, and affordable care to families and payors. We are expanding our network and are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our dedicated care team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the nursing staff in managing patient and family flow through the peri-operative area
• Ensure these areas are stocked and clean, with all necessary patient care equipment readily available and organized
• Escort patients to the preoperative area and gather their medical history, taking vital signs such as weight, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and documenting all information in the patient's chart
• Escort families to the recovery unit when requested by the nurse, and assist in transporting patients and families to their vehicles or elevators upon discharge

Requirements & Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent, or a graduate from an approved Medical Assistant program
• A current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Pediatric or surgery experience is preferred
• A minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant
