About the Role
The Medical Assistant I supports licensed practitioners by performing administrative and clinical duties to deliver basic patient care in accordance with policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care needs, including vital signs, injections, and medication administration.
- Perform administrative tasks to support clinical operations.
- Work under delegation of licensed practitioners, adhering to established protocols.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited medical assisting program, registered medical assistant apprenticeship, or military medical training, or have at least one year of relevant clinical experience.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
Skills
- Preferred experience includes customer service in fast-paced settings and familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
