Medical Assistant (Full-Time)

Responsibilities

• Document vital signs, height, weight, and vision metrics.
• Perform clinical procedures such as vaccinations, lab work, and specimen collection.
• Relay patient concerns, assist with follow-up care, minor procedures, urgent situations, and referrals.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records.
• Manage vaccine, medication, laboratory, and supply inventories, including refrigerator monitoring.
• Support immunization, dental, and preventive health activities.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and clinical procedures.
• Assist with scheduling, front desk, and administrative tasks.

Qualifications & Skills

• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records; Athena Health preferred.
• Commitment to health equity, privacy, dignity, and culturally responsive care.
• Reliable transportation to travel between clinic sites.
• Ability to work reduced hours during summer months when school is not in session.
