Medical Assistant for the Urgent Care

About the role

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team in our Urgent Care department at UNC Health Blue Ridge. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients, assist in examinations and treatments, perform administrative tasks, and help maintain a safe and clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the examination and treatment of patients
• Perform administrative and clerical duties
• Aid in patient scheduling
• Document patient information accurately
• Interact with patients to ensure their comfort and satisfaction

Requirements

• High School graduate
• Completion of an accredited Medical Office Assistant Program, Clinical Medical Assistant Program, Registered Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician Program
• Current certification as a CMA, CCMA, RMA, EMT-Intermediate, or EMT-Paramedic
• All certificates must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment
